Trust...We've all heard the word. It's a word that can take on many meanings for different people. But what does it mean to really trust God? I've been on this journey with Christ now for years, and I know firsthand how mysterious and downright difficult it can be to put our trust in God. Especially when times are so hard and it feels like we can't track Him or trace Him. But it's really in those moments of uncertainty that God perfects our faith and trust in Him! Faith and trust are almost one and the same, both require you to believe for the greatest outcome in life, even when the odds are stacked against you.

Just as God perfects our faith, He also perfects our trust in Him. If you will be honest, you too can attest to how mind boggling a thing it is to trust in a God that promises He has your life in His hands. And yet that trust as mysterious as it may be also offers us the greatest peace and consolation than anything else life could offer! God wants us to be certain without any doubt that we can trust Him with our lives... every aspect of our lives matter to God!

As I type this, I can sense God saying "Do you trust me"? When the waves of tests and trials are crashing all around you, "Do you still trust me"? When life seems so unpredictable and uncertain, "Will you continue to trust me"? If things don't go the way you planned them, "My child, do you trust that I know what I'm doing as it pertains to your life"? One thing I know about God is He is omniscient. He's the "all knowing" God and absolutely nothing can take him by surprise! So even if it surprises you, God can use all things for your benefit and His glory! Whether it be the loss of a family member, a rocky career, a lack of finances, a health crisis, or something so catastrophic your faith and trust in God is pushed to the limit, just know this.

God is for you and never against you. Which means God's plans for your life supercede anything you could even ask or imagine. If you've been struggling with trusting God, I encourage to take a fresh look at many of the scriptures in the Bible that reference the subject of trust. The book of Psalm can be an awesome place to refer to. David pours out his heart and laments in many scriptures about him unwavering trust in God Almighty. It is my prayer that God reveal Himself to you in a way that causes you trust Him with all your being.
